The urbanisations of El Galan and Las Filipinas are located on the outskirts of San Miguel, bordering Orihuela Costa and slightly closer to the coast than some of the other urbanisations. This area is more built-up but there is a wide variety of property types and prices, and is popular both with holidaymakers and permanent residents. Many of the streets are quite tranquil, even in the middle of summer, despite being closer to the coast. Both of these areas have a fantastic array of amenities open all year and within easy walking distance plus the beaches of La Zenia are only a short 15 minute drive away with 3 golf courses on the way down.
