Moody's Investors Service has highlighted the improvement in the real estate sector in Spain, which has favoured the balance of the domestic banking sector, and suggests an increase in the price of housing of 4.7% in the next three years, without Warn for the moment any type of risk of a bubble in the sector.
Moody's said in a statement this week that although the housing market dynamics have improved with the strength of the economy, it is unlikely that the Spanish mortgage market will start to overheat in the short term.
Moody's believes that the increase in housing prices in Spain is having a positive impact on the mortgage portfolios held by local financial institutions.
On the other hand, Moody's predicts that house prices in Spain will increase between 2017 and 2019 at an annual rate close to 4.7%, taking into account the records obtained in 2016.
The rating agency has also stated in the document that although the growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product is likely to slow, the Spanish economy will continue to grow at a healthy 2.3% in 2017, providing the basis for the recovery of the real estate market.
